to Give - Mother's Day
Mother's
Day is around the corner - providing a special chance to recognize
every mom's importance in our lives. At the Ronald McDonald House, we
do everything we can to help moms care for their children and infants
who face life-threatening conditions. By providing a place to rest,
hot meals, and so much more, we take care of the details of life so a
mom can be present to her child's needs.
Our "Honoring Moms" campaign gives you the opportunity to
honor a "mom" in your life with a donation to the Ronald
McDonald House. Gifts
of any amount are greatly appreciated. Every gjft
will make a difference in a mom's life every day at the House.

Corner - AuPairCare
AuPairCare, a California-based,
live-in childcare organization and Build-a-Bear Workshop Stores,
teamed up in the 2nd annual nationwide
"Share-a-Bear" campaign, donating nearly 25 furry friends
to the San Diego Ronald McDonald House each year. Last year, over 100
events nationwide brought 1,800 of the personalized bears to over 100
local charities.

COMMUNITY
GATHERS TO SUPPORT HOUSE
Many in the community volunteer
on our behalf in a big way in big groups. Three recent events
pulled the community together cosmetically, musically and
athletically to raise funds and supply our cupboard with daily
needs. Read about them below!
Twenty-two volunteer hair stylists coifed (that's French for
hairstyling) 170 supporters of the Ronald McDonald House on Sunday,
February 28 at three salons around San Diego. They spent a little
time pampering themselves for a good cause in our 2nd
annual "Care
Cuts" Cut-a-Thon. At the end of the day...

Message - April 2010
Dear Friends of RMHC-SD,
The San Diego Ronald McDonald House opened its doors for the first
time on December 6, 1980. 2010 will mark the 30th year in
which many families staying at the House spent holidays, birthdays,
and special occasions away from home.
Most of us enjoy these times surrounded by our family, in the comfort
of our own homes. At the House, we have the task of making these
occasions feel as much like being home as possible for our guest
families, who need to focus...

families benefit every evening from the generosity of our community
