Second Annual Tables for Tots Presents One-of-a-Kind Children’s Table Designs by San Diego’s Best Architects and Designers to Benefit the Ronald McDonald House®
Public invited to attend free event Thursday, August 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.
(San Diego) --- San Diego’s best architects and designers have transformed children’s tables and chairs into usable works of art that are up for bid at the second annual Tables for Tots to benefit the Ronald McDonald House . The event takes place on Thursday, August 26 from 6-9 pm at the new Ronald McDonald House®, 2929 Children’s Way, San Diego 92123. This event is free and open to the public. Proceeds benefit families with seriously ill children staying at the Ronald McDonald House.
Presented in partnership by G/M Business Interiors and OFS Brands, Tables for Tots features 27 tables to be bid on in a silent and live auction format.
The tables will be on display at the House event and judged by a panel of local celebrities for awards in five categories: Go Green, Best Thematic Design, Best Interactive Design, Best Educational Design, Best Character Design, and a Grand Prize chosen from all categories. The top six designs will be awarded trophies.
Table judges include: Sharon Bay, publisher and editor in chief of San Diego Family Magazine, Diane Bell, columnist for the San Diego Union-Tribune, Charlie Brown, Viejas tribal member and director of community relations, George Chamberlain, KNSD financial reporter, Kimberly King, KFMB-TV Channel 8 weather forecaster, and, Jessica Hanson York and Keith York, both with KPBS.
Ronald McDonald will serve as emcee for the evening’s auction that includes free appetizers and beverages.
