RED SHOE DAY
Watch for the Big Red Shoe!
We need you (and 1,999 other friends!) to get up early on Tuesday, September 21st for the first ever
Red Shoe Day to benefit the new Ronald McDonald House® of San Diego.
Three hours of your time can help hospitalized kids and their families.
Pairs of volunteers will be positioned at key intersections across San Diego to collect donations in our own signature big red shoes from 6:00-9:00 a.m.
If you’re not an early riser or are unable to volunteer, please join other Ronald McDonald House supporters by making a gift during this one day event, when you see the Red Shoes around town. You’ll recognize our volunteers by the special t-shirts they’ll wear as they collect gifts in these sealed red boots. You can also make a donation anytime online.
We’ve long wanted to do something like this, but how could we obtain 1,000 red shoes? Carlsbad-based, Phoenix Footwear, stepped up to the challenge—just for us, they have created a size 14 red boot with yellow laces, similar to those worn by Ronald McDonald!
We also have other sponsorship opportunities available.
Thanks to our current sponsors:
