Major Gifts

Ronald McDonald House Charities® of San Diego depends on generous philanthropy from our community at many levels. We are especially grateful to individuals and groups who donate $1,000 or more annually to help fund the operations of the Ronald McDonald House®. These committed individuals keep our community of care and compassion going each day with their gifts.

Major gifts of $10,000 and more are recognized on our permanent “Wall of Honor.” These gifts can be designated to support a specific program or service, or they may help fund our highest and most urgent needs as determined by our Board of Trustees. 

Here are some examples of what your major gift or leadership gift can do:

• $1,000 provides 285 meals at our Family Care Center
• $5,000 provides a year of in-town transportation for families far from home
• $10,000 covers utilities for a month at our entire facility
• $25,000 provides 9 months of phone and internet access for our House guests
• $75,000 provides 500 nights of lodging
