Job Title: Director of Major Gifts

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the President and CEO, the Director of Major Gifts is responsible for identifying, managing, cultivating, and soliciting prospective donors; and securing philanthropic support for Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego with special focus on major gifts and planned giving. Activities will include planning and implementing major and planned gift prospect identification, cultivation and solicitation activities through a wide array of personal visits, and at fundraising and other House special events. The Director of Major Gifts will secure funding sources by working closely with the Board of Trustees, President & CEO, senior leadership, and volunteers to establish and extend relationships with prospective, current and lapsed donors. This individual will work closely with the Development and Accounting Teams, to ensure proper recording, acknowledgement, stewardship and reporting of major and planned gift support for the organization.
