Care Cuts Cut-a-Thon

Shear Pleasure Salon at Ronald McDonald House
Volunteer Stylists and RMHC staff at Salon Kensington

The 2nd Annual Care Cuts Cut-a-Thon on Sunday, February 28 was bigger and better this year thanks to 22 volunteer stylists and 170 supporters, who had their hair styled for a good cause, raising over $3,300 in support of our families.

Thanks to everyone who took part!

Participants got to buy a chance to win lots of raffle items, and a special prize was given for the 30th cut done at each location, in honor of our 30th Anniversary!

Throughout the year, some of these same stylists volunteer their talents at the "Shear Pleasure" Salon inside the Ronald McDonald House, offering free cuts to our guests who really feel uplifted by all the personal pampering.

Thanksto our participating salons for making this a more accessible event around San Diego. And a special thanks to Douglas Saboe of Hairplay, who pioneered the event and was the inspiration for the Shear Pleasure Salon at the House.
