The mission of Ronald McDonald
House Charities® of San Diego
(RMHC®-SD) provides a home away from home for children and their families
while the child is treated is serious, often life-threatening illnesses at San Diego Hospitals.
Since 1980 the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego (see photos) has provided a 12 bedroom home away from home for more than 12,000 families in need!
In addtion to the nights of lodging the House has opened its doors to anyone who has a child at local hospitals for our other services.
The San Diego House has the following services 365 days a year: *Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks *Laundry Facilities *Computer Resource Lab *TV/Quiet Room *Kids Play Room *Shower *Outside Eating Area *Living Room *Friendly Staff Members and Other Families in Similar Situations
There are many ways to get involved! Donate, volunteer, join our board, or spread the word.
Due to an overwhelming need (every night we have a waiting list of about 30 people) we are building a New 47 Bedroom Ronald McDonald House!
We are currently raising the money through a Capital Campaign for the $15 million it will take to build this world-class facility.
